These are much more interesting already, though for me, the screaming faces are too much: now, I'd extend this drawing - copy-paste, shrink it, extend it - and consider too inverting it, so your working with a white structure; for added expressiveness, try working on an orange colour field - something suggestive of cracked earth and drought? Think ivory and bleached bones against baked clay:

The screaming faces should be hungry faces :) with the open mouths. Already doing. I'm figuring out each floor and making shapes logical.
